2018 is “Year of the Dog”

2018 is Year of the Dog with Chinese New Year on 16 February. The Cairns and District Chinese Association Incorporated (CADCAI) are looking for events, performers and market stall holders to participate in the 2018 Celebrations.

Year of the Dog
2018 is Year of the Dog with Chinese New Year on 16 February. For people born in the year of the Dog ( 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958,1970, 1982, 1994, 2006), 2018 is considered an auspicious year.
Chinese New Year 2018 celebrations will commence on 8 February and conclude on Saturday 24 February 2018.  The signature event for the celebrations, The Cairns Airport Chinese New year Street Festival is to be held 4 – 9pm on Saturday 24 February 2018 in Grafton Street Cairns.   This is a free family event.
